Folding Bends and Flanges

You can fold bends. It also applies to cylindrical faces such as flange, bend and surfaces recognized as bend.


Before you begin:
  • Create a representation with two walls, a cylindrical bend and a wall on edge.
  • Unfold the bend using the Unfolding command. See Folding Bends and Flanges.

  1. From the Model section of the action bar, click Folding .
  2. In the Reference face, select a wall.


  3. In the Fold Faces box, select the cylindrical bend to fold.


  4. From the list, select the Angle Type.
  5. Optional: To fold all the bending surfaces, click Select All.

    To remove the selection, click Unselect.

  6. Click Preview to visualize the folding.


    Important:
    • To fold a 3D shape with a bending cycle, each element of the cylindrical bend has to be selected individually.
    • You cannot create folded faces with null radius.
