Auto-Name |
This option computes an auto name for a SOLIDWORKS object during the copy to MyWork folder, file
creation, or save process. The auto name is displayed in the Display
Name column of the Save dialog box, and the Target File
Name of the Copy to MyWork dialog box. Note:
On selection of this option, the Enforce copy to MyWork
folder before saving option is selected by
default.
|
Compute 3D format for all configurations |
This option computes CGR for all the configurations and not only those
configurations that are active or used in some assembly. |
Save files with missing references |
With this option, you can save the SOLIDWORKS
3DEXPERIENCE data with missing reference files. |
Apply Material on 3DEXPERIENCE Data model |
With this option, you can apply material to the data. If this option is
selected, and the data is not mapped in 3DEXPERIENCE, a warning is displayed in the
Status column of the Save dialog
box. For more information, see Managing Materials in 3DEXPERIENCE. |
Save files referencing unlocked modified
files |
With this option, you can save an object if it has related, unlocked,
modified files. |
Mandatory Mapped Attributes |
During the save process, this option confirms if the mandatory CAD
attributes are assigned appropriate values. You can choose one of the following options:
- Ignore if unset: If this option is selected, the
save process is not blocked even if the mandatory attributes are not
defined.
- Block if unset: If this option is selected, the
save process is blocked if the mandatory attributes are not defined.
- Warning at save if unset: If this option is
selected, the save process is not blocked but a warning is seen if the
mandatory attributes are not defined.
Based on the option chosen, the Status column in
the save dialog box is updated. Note:
This is applicable only for data created
in SOLIDWORKS.

Configuration Filters |
You can define the filtering criteria that can be applied on the data
during the save process. These filtering criteria are applicable only on the
data that is not converted on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The options available here are:
All Configurations, Referenced
Configurations, and Name Based Configuration
Filtering
Option |
Description |
All Configurations |
This is a default option that saves all the configurations
available in the structure. When this option is selected, all the
other filtering options are disabled. With the suboption
Exclude derived configurations selected,
all the configurations are saved except the derived ones. |
Referenced Configurations |
This option saves only the reference configurations. The
available Apply to filtering criteria are:
- Both Parts and Assemblies: All the
parts and assemblies that are used in a particular assembly
structure are saved.
- Apply to Assemblies Only: You can save
all the part configurations in 3DEXPERIENCE.
|
Name Based Configuration
Filtering |
In this section, you define a criteria for filtering the
configuration. From the below options, choose which part or assembly
configurations must be included or excluded in the save process. By
default, the configurations for parts and assemblies are included.
The include or exclude patterns can be a sequence of patterns
separated by a comma. The filters are not case-sensitive. The filter
options are: Parts - Excluded Configuration
Name(s), Parts - Included Configuration
Name(s), Assemblies- Excluded Configuration
Name(s), and Assemblies- Included
Configuration Name(s). Note:
If you enter the filtering
criteria in the include and exclude fields, the criteria in the
include field overrides the criteria in the exclude
field.

Check file(s) with External
References |
This option manages the presence of external references during the save
process. You can choose one of the following options:
- Ignore: This is a default option. During the save
operation, all the external references present in the structure are ignored
and only the part is saved.
- Warn: The external references are verified during
the save operation, and a warning is displayed if the external reference
file is not found. In this case, you can either ignore the external
references and save the data or cancel the save operation.
- Block: The external references are verified during
the save operation, and the save operation is blocked if the external
reference file is not found.
Based on the option chosen, the Status column in
the save dialog box is updated. If this setting is selected, the
Save files with missing references option considers
only assembly components, mirror part, derived parts, and split parts in the
save process.
|
Check file Title for uniqueness |
This option identifies if the title of the file exists in the 3DEXPERIENCE
Platform. If the title name is not unique, a warning is displayed in the save dialog
box. The save operation is not blocked due to this warning. Note:
The
verification is done only for assemblies and parts.
