lead you through the Component Placement in Smart Mechanical Components.
Placing a component relies on the relation between two axis systems: The Hook (for the inserted component) and the Component Specification (for the receiving component). The component to
place has one single Hook, while the receiving component has as many Component Specifications as necessary.
Hooks and Component Specifications are smart: The Component Specification indicates the expected inserted component. In
addition, the Component Specification can indicate expected dimensions. These properties
are used as filters when searching for a component to place, either from the 3DEXPERIENCE platform or a catalog.
