Creating a Lot

If you have the role of Product Planner, you can create one or more lots to batch a group of non-serialized parts.

  1. To access the Create Lot page, do one of the following:
    • From the top bar, click Actions > Unit Tracking > Create Lot.
    • Access the Lots page and click Create Lot from the page toolbar. See Lots Page.
    • Access the Unit PowerView page of a part and click Create Lot from the page toolbar. See Unit PowerView - Lots Page.
    • Access the As-Built category from a build Properties page. In Edit mode, click Actions > Add New Lot.
  2. Enter details about the lot, including the following:

    NameType a name for the new lot or click AutoName to have the system generate a name for the lot. The default prefix is "Lot".
    TypeClick to select the lot type or subtype. By default, the type is "Lot."
    Number of LotsType the number of lots to generate. You can generate up to 100 lots. The default is 1. To create multiple lots, you must use AutoName.
    Note: This field appears only if the flag multiLotCreation=true is passed in the page URL. If this flag is not enabled, the quantity is assumed to be 1 and a single lot is created on submit.
    Description Type details that describe the lot.
    CustomerClick to search for and select the customer for whom the lot is intended.
    PolicyFrom the list, select the policy that will govern the lifecycle and access for the lot.
  3. Click Done.
    • If you are creating a single lot, the lot Properties page opens. The new lot is in the Create state in its lifecycle. See Lot Properties Page.
    • If you are creating multiple lots, the Lots page opens in Edit mode, where you can make changes to attributes. See Structured Content in Edit Mode.
