Creating Collections

You can create collections that encompass all your assets and let you manage their content.

This task shows you how to:

Create a Collection from the Collections Tab

You can create collections from the Collections  tab of xMedia.

Before you begin: Select the Collections  tab.

From the Collections panel, click (tap) Create Collections .
In the Create Collection dialog box, enter a user-friendly descriptive name for your collection in the Title field.
Optional: In the Share with field, enter the name or trigram of one or more collaborators you want to share the collection with.

Note: You can enter the name of an entire group of collaborators.
Click (tap) Create.

As the creator of the collection, you are automatically assigned the Can manage permission.

You can simultaneously create a collection and add one or more assets to that collection.

From a collaborative space or a collection, depending on your context, do one of the following:


Context	Action
You want to add a single asset to the created collection.	From the asset of your choice, click (tap)  Menu and select Add to Collection . Right-click (hold) the asset of your choice and select Add to Collection .
You want to add multiple assets to the created collection.	Select multiple assets. Note: For more information, see Selecting Multiple Assets. From the app toolbar, click (tap) Add to Collection .

In the Add to Collection dialog box, click (tap) Create a Collection.
In the Create Collection dialog box, enter a user-friendly descriptive name for your collection in the Title field.
Optional: In the Share with field, enter the name or trigram of one or more collaborators you want to share the collection with.

Click (tap) Create and Add.

You create a collection and add the selected assets to that collection.
As the creator of the collection, you are automatically assigned the Can manage permission.
