Edit POAs Page

This page displays a grid of the POAs and the artwork elements associated with them. You can view and modify the parameters of the artwork elements corresponding to specific POAs. This page is available for Product Managers and Artwork Project Managers.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Leader
  • App-specific: Product Manager, Artwork Project Manager

To access this page:

  1. From the POAs page or the POAs in an Artwork Package page, select the required POAs.
  2. From the page toolbar, select Actions > Edit POAs.

Columns

Column Name Description
Element Type/Display Name The type and the name of the artwork element. If multiple POAs associated with different revisions of an artwork element are opened, the different revisions are shown in different rows. The older revision is marked with to denote that a newer revision is available.

Select the Select All check box to select all artwork elements.

Select the Type check box and click to sort the artwork elements by type.

Select the Name check box to and click to sort the artwork elements by name.

Click or to sort in ascending or descending order.

State

Revision

Shows the following:

The lifecycle state of the artwork element.

The revision number of the artwork element.

The flags associated with the artwork element.

: Indicates that the countries in which the artwork element must be available for use are defined.

: Indicates that the copy element must be translated inline in local languages.

: Indicates that the copy element must not be translated.

: Indicates that the element is a structured copy element master. You can click to view the copy elements associated with it.

Content The content of the master copy or the thumbnail of the graphic.

The content is not shown for structured copy elements.

Select the Select All POAs check box to select all POAs.

POA name and details Shows the name of the POA, its lifecycle state, the artwork usage type, and the languages and the countries for which the POA is localized.

If you have selected more than one POA, each POA is displayed in a separate column.

You can click the name of a customization POA to view the list of POAs connected to it.

The cell intersecting the POA column and the artwork element row shows the sequence number, languages of the artwork element, and the instance sequence. The revision number of the local copy element is shown along with the language. denotes that a newer revision of the local copy element exists. You can click the local copy languages to view the local copy details and select a newer revision. Required elements are marked with .

You can enter or modify the sequence number in the sequence number box for POAs that are in the Draft state. You can also click to sort the artwork elements by the sequence number.

For POAs, appears in the intersecting cell if the artwork element is connected to a POA from a copy list. The name of the copy list is also shown.

For customization POAs, appears in the intersecting cell if the artwork element is added from a connected POA.

Actions

Action Description
Connect POA Lets you search and connect POAs. You can add POAs that are in the Release or the Obsolete state.

Click Connect POA, search for the required POAs, select one or more POAs, and click OK.

Disconnect POA Lets you disconnect POAs from a customization POA.

Select a customization POA and click Disconnect POA. In the Disconnect POA page, click displayed next to the POAs that you want to disconnect.

The POAs are disconnected. The artwork elements from the disconnected POAs are also disassociated from the customization POA, if they are not associated with any other POAs that are still connected to the customization POA.

Manage Elements from POAs Lets you add artwork elements from the connected POA to the customization POA. You can also remove existing artwork elements. You can add artwork elements that are in the Release or the Obsolete state.

Select a customization POA and click Manage Elements from POAs. In the Manage Elements from POAs page, expand the POA and click displayed next to an artwork element to add it. You can also add local copies of translatable copy elements.

If an artwork element is already added to the customization POA, is displayed next to the artwork element. Click to remove the artwork element from the customization POA.

Add New Graphic Element Lets you create a graphic element and associate it with the selected POAs. This option is available only for Product Managers.

Select one or more POAs, and click Add New Graphic Element. Enter the details of the graphic element and click Done.

The Place of Origin field shows the nearest common object in the product hierarchy with which the POA is associated. You can click and select the appropriate product from the hierarchy.

Add New Master Copy Element Lets you create an artwork element and associate it with the selected POAs. This option is available only for Product Managers.

Select one or more POAs, and click Add New Master Copy Element. Enter the details of the artwork element and click Done.

The Place of Origin field shows the nearest common object in the product hierarchy with which the POA is associated. You can click and select the appropriate product from the hierarchy.

Add Artwork Element Lets you add existing artwork elements and copy lists to a POA.

Select the required POAs and click Add Artwork Element.

Select the Product Hierarchy option to list the available artwork elements or select the Copy List option to list the available copy lists.

Expand the product line and click displayed next to the required artwork element to add it to the POA. If the artwork elements has multiple revisions, you can select the required revision.

You can also select copy elements or copy lists, and click to add it to the POA.

Notes:
  • If you select a POA, select an artwork element, and add artwork elements, the newly added artwork elements are added above the selected artwork element in the table.
  • Required element flags are added when you add a copy list, even if the elements are present in the POA already.
  • If you add an artwork element from a copy list that is not present in the POA already, instance sequence and notes are added. If the instance sequence is already present in the POA, a message appears.
Remove Artwork Element Lets you remove an artwork element from the selected POA.

Select the required master copy elements and POAs, and click Remove. Click OK to confirm.

If you try to delete an artwork element that is in a copy list and is designated as required, a message appears. When you confirm, the artwork element is deleted. If the artwork element you delete is the last element connected to a POA from a copy list, the copy list is removed.

Add/Remove Local Copy Lets you add or remove a specific language from the selected POAs.

Select the cells displaying the local copy languages for the required POAs. You can also select the POA check box to select all artwork elements with local copies. The selected cells appear in green color. Click Add/Remove Local Copy. Select or clear the check boxes corresponding to the languages, as required, and click Save.

You cannot add or remove local copies of artwork elements added from connected POAs.

If you try to remove a local copy that is designated as required, a message appears. When you confirm, the local copy is removed.

Add Existing Element Lets you search and add artwork elements from any product hierarchy to the POA.
Add Existing Copy List Lets you search and add Released copy lists, and the associated artwork elements to the POA.

The copy lists and the artwork elements from the copy lists are added to the artwork assembly of the POA, but are not added in the product hierarchy.

Edit Note Lets you add a note to an artwork element in a POA. You can also add notes to graphic elements.

Select the required master copy elements and POAs, and click Edit Note. For artwork elements, select the required languages, enter the note, and click Ok. For graphic elements, enter the note and click Ok.

Edit Instance Sequence Lets you modify the instance sequence for an artwork element in a POA.

Select the required master copy elements and POAs, and click Edit Instance Sequence. Enter the instance sequence and click OK.

Re-sequence Elements Reassigns sequence numbers to the artwork elements for the selected POAs. Click OK to confirm. The sequence numbers are reassigned starting from 1 in the order in which the artwork elements are listed.
Save Sequence Saves the entered sequence numbers.

Select a POA, enter a positive number in the sequence number box for each artwork element, and click Save Sequence.

If the entered values are unique, they are saved. If the entered values contain duplicates, a message appears. Click Ok to update with duplicate values. The boxes with duplicate values are highlighted in red.

Modify Countries, Languages Lets you view the list of available regions, countries, and languages. If no candidate markets are associated with the CPG product, all regions, countries, and languages are displayed.

Select the required regions, countries, and languages. In the Selected Languages column, you can drag the languages to reorder them.

When you add new country and language, a message appears asking if you want to add artwork elements from the product hierarchy that are designated for that country. Click Yes to add the elements.

If you try to remove the language of a local copy that is designated as required, a message appears. When you confirm, the language is removed.

Add to view Lets you add POAs to the current view. You can add POAs that are in any state. However, you can perform actions only on POAs that are in the Draft state.
Remove from view Removes the selected POAs from the current view.
Clear Selection Clears the selection of the selected POAs.
Filter Lets you search and filter by display name, element type, content, language, copy lists, or all details.
