Create a Premix Phase
Before you begin: To perform this task, you must have the Formulation Designer 3DS role.

-
In the formula grid toolbar, click Insert Row
, and select Insert Phase
from the menu.
- Open the phase's properties pane, and specify the phase's name and (optionally) a processing note. For more information, see "Viewing and Editing Phase Properties."
-
Still in the properties pane, select Don't include in formula
totals. This defines the phase as a premix phase.
The options for premix phases become available under Phase Size, When Phase Size Changes, and Handling Per Piece Changes to Ingredients in Phase.
- Specify options under Phase Size, When Phase Size Changes, and Handling Per Piece Changes to Ingredients in Phase as required. For more information, see "Viewing and Editing Phase Properties."
