Search for a Task
You can search explicitly for a task and see the result in the Search window.
You can select the task you want to work on.
Search for a TaskYou can search explicitly for a task and see the result in the Search window. You can select the task you want to work on. Make Actions from the Search Context MenuWhen searching for a task, right-click a task to use one of the following commands: Explore a TaskYou can explore a task from a search action. You have now access to the task you want to edit. You can only edit it from an Open action. Open a TaskA task can be opened by the assigned designer for it only if its children tasks are marked as done. If not, the task cannot be opened. Your task is open and activated. You can work on it and transmit the modifications made when your task is completed.
Open a Task ManuallyOpening a task manually gives you more control on the merge actions you want to make on a selected task. The merge is not automatic. You have access to the merge options and control all the actions made on the copied representation you work on. See the Properties of a TaskYou can see the properties of a task from a search action. Re-Initialize a TaskYou can reinitialize a task from the Navigation window. Actions from the Navigation WindowWhen you are in the Navigation window, you can start the following actions from the context menu appearing after you right-clicked the task you are working on: Open a TaskA task can be opened by the assigned designer for it only if its children tasks are set as done. If not, the task cannot be opened. Right-click the task you want to open from the tree and select Open...
Your task is open and activated. You can work on it and transmit the modifications made when your task is completed.
Open a Task ManuallyOpening a task manually gives you more control on the merge actions you want to make on a selected task. The merge is not automatic. You have access to the merge options and control all the actions made on the copied representation you work on. Expand All a TaskYou can expand a task and see its structure in the Navigation window. Right-click the task you want to expand from the tree and select Expand all. You enter the Navigation window where you can see the task and its inputs, outputs, and
attachments. You can see the task and its possible subtasks, and the project to which they belong expanded in the tree. Refresh and Collapse a TaskYou can refresh and collapse a task in the Navigation window. Right-click the task you want to open from the tree and select Refresh and Collapse. Your task is refreshed and collapsed. See the Properties of a TaskYou can see the properties of a task from the Navigation window. Right-click the task you want to open from the tree and select Properties. The Properties dialog box opens and shows you the properties of the task. Detach a Task from a ProjectYou detach any task from a project in the Navigation window.
Right-click the task you want to open from the tree and select Detach Task to Project....
The task you selected is detach from the project. Insert a New Collaborative Task to a TaskYou can insert a new task to a project from the Navigation window.
The new collaborative task is added to the project. Insert Existing Collaborative Tasks to a TaskYou can insert a new task to a project from the Navigation window. The existing collaborative task is added to the project. Re-Initialize a TaskYou can reinitialize a task from the Navigation window. Actions from the PLMWorkplaceYou need the HUD to send and share data with the designers you work with and the PLMWorkplace from which you can start commands. You can start following commands from the context menu appearing when right-clicking the project section.
Edit Project PropertiesWhen opening a task, a project section appears in the PLMWorkplace. You can edit the properties of the project. Show Task DescriptionWhen opening a task, a project section appears in the PLMWorkplace. Right-click the project section and select Show Task Description. An immersive dialog box appears with the description of the task. Set Task as DoneWhen a task is completed, an output briefcase is produced. It appears in the tree of your project that you can see in the Navigation window when opening a task or a project. The designer assigned for the task has to share it through a standard Sharing Data in Asynchronous Mode mechanism so that the modifications can be taken into account in the project. In the following scenario, you are the designer assigned to the task to be shared. The modifications you brought are shared with the project manager.
Leave ProjectYou can leave a project.
Right-click the project section and select Leave Project.
You leave the project in the asynchronous mode and go back to a peer-to-peer mode. You can edit the task you work on in the Authoring window. |
