Content Views

The Favorites, My Content, and All Content views allow you to access with documents, resources, and topics. The right pane lists the qualifying content.

List View

If the tiles view is active, click Choose View and select List View .

View Description
Name An auto-generated name of the object.
Title Title of the object.
Type Object type:
  • Document Map for a document map
  • Published Document for a rendered PDF file
  • Topic for a topic
  • Data Topic for a topic containing data imported from an external data source
  • Resource for an image
Owner The person who owns the document.
Maturity State The state of the document, highlighted in the indicated color.

All entries show the In Work maturity state.

Modification Date The most recent date that the document was modified.
Locked Shows an icon when an object is locked for editing.

A key indicates that it is locked. Hover over the to view the username of the user with the lock, no other users can make edits until the lock is released. For more information, see Unlocking Maps and Topics.

Favorite Indicates if the object is a favorite, and lets you add as a favorite or remove it from your favorites:
  • means that the object is not a favorite.
  • means that the object is a favorite and shows in the list of favorites.

Click to switch between the two settings.

Shortcut menu Click to open the shortcut menu for the object. For more information, see Shortcut Menu.

Tiles View

If the list view is active, click Choose View and select Tiles View .

View Description
Title Title of the object.
Revision The revision level of the object.
Maturity State The color-coded state of the object:

All entries show the In Work maturity state.

Owner The person who owns the object.
Name An auto-generated name of the object.
Favorite Indicates if the object is a favorite, and lets you add as a favorite or remove it from your favorites:
  • means that the object is not a favorite.
  • means that the object is a favorite and shows in the list of favorites.

Click to switch between the two settings.

Locked Shows an icon when an object is locked for editing.

Actions

The page toolbar includes the following actions.

Action Description
Lets you sort the list by selected columns. Select the column you want to sort by, then choose or .
Choose View Choose the view:
  • Tiles View
  • List View

Shortcut Menu

The shortcut menu can contain the following actions.

Action Description For More Information
Opens the object in the appropriate editor. If you selected a published PDF file, opens the document map used to generate the PDF file. Document Maps
For a published PDF or an image resource, opens the file in 3DPlay. 3D Modeling: 3DPlay
Opens a dialog box where you can preview the resource and change its name. Working with Images
Opens a dialog box where you can choose a new image file to replace the selected image. Working with Images
Creates a new revision of the object. Working with Revisions
Provides options for promoting or demoting the object's maturity state. Managing Content Lifecycles
For objects that you have locked, releases the lock.

Users with the Leader or Repository Manager roles can unlock any map.

Unlocking Maps and Topics
Deletes the objects. Confirm that you want to delete it.
