Customizing Columns for Datagrid View

In Datagrid view, you can customize the column display.

Important: This function is not available if you only have the Collaborative Business Innovator role.

Customizations can be:

  • Defined by the Administrator and saved at the server level for On-Premise deployments.
  • Loaded by a user and saved at the browser level.
Important: Cleaning your web browser cache deletes your column customizations. If you want a column customization to persist, ask your Administrator to create this customization in the SearchColumnCustoAdmin.json file.

  6. For each column in the list, you can select one of the following options:
    OptionDescription
Is Visible Controls whether the column is visible or hidden.
Width Specifies the column width (in pixels).
    Is Wrap

Formats column result as wrapped text, which allows you to avoid resizing columns when their content is too long.

You can wrap a maximum of 3 columns.

This functionality is also available in dynamic mode, when you right-click column headers in Datagrid View.

Important: The dynamic mode overrides the persistent mode made here, in Manage grid view customization.

Note: You can add any faceted information from custom predicates in Column Customization.

    • When you run a predefined query without having associated a column customization, and then restore = 3DSearch restores the default attribute list delivered with the product.
    • Run a predefined query search with an associated column customization, and then restore = 3DSearch restores the customization associated with the predefined query.
Save Lets you give a name to your customization and save it.
    Deletes the customization.

Note: The Search Results panel always displays the Name and Type columns. You cannot hide them.
