Primary Area

The primary area of the Engineering Specification Edition section provides commands for working with technological tables, part filters, filter units or specifications.

This page discusses:

Fixed Commands

These commands are always displayed in the action bar.

Spreadsheet
Provides options to manage objects using the Spreadsheet.
See Defining Specifications Using the Spreadsheet
Analyze
Checks the consistency of all opened technological tables and filter units.
A symbol appears in the tree to indicate whether a problem was detected or not.
See Analyzing Technological Tables and Part Filters.

Technological Table Commands

These commands are available when a technological table is activated.

Add Row
Creates a row.
If a row is selected, the new row is placed above it. If no row is selected, the new row is placed at the bottom of the table.
See Inserting, Moving and Deleting Rows in Technological Tables.
Remove Row
Deletes the selected row.
If no row is selected, the last row of the table is deleted.
See Inserting, Moving and Deleting Rows in Technological Tables.
Move Row Up
Moves the selected row upward one level.
See Inserting, Moving and Deleting Rows in Technological Tables.
Move Row Down
Moves the selected row downward one level.
See Inserting, Moving and Deleting Rows in Technological Tables.
Free Edition Mode
Lets you edit the current technological table without constraints.
If you open another technological table, the Free Edition Mode ends.
See Technological Tables Edition.
Create Subtable
Creates a subtable that contains a subset of rows from another table.
See Creating a Subtable.

Filter Commands

These commands are available when a filter is activated.

Create Subfilter
Clones a part filter contained into another specification if you need some of its filter units.
See Duplicating a Part Filter.
Edit Filter
Lets you modify the list of returned part types and parameters of part filters.
See Edit a Part Filter.
Add Filter Unit
Creates a filter unit in the selected part filter.
See Create a Filter Unit.
Remove Filter Unit
Deletes a filter unit.
Synchronize Session Filter Units
Updates all asynchronized filter units in session.
See Synchronize all Filter Units.

Filter Units Commands

These commands are available when a Filter Unit is activated.

Add Filter Unit
Creates a filter unit in the selected part filter.
See Create a Filter Unit.
Remove Filter Units
Deletes a Filter Unit.
Synchronize Session Filter Units
Updates all asynchronized filter units in session.
See Synchronize all Filter Units.
Add to Explicit List
Places the selected parts in the returned parts list.
See Editing Explicit Lists.
Remove from Explicit List
Deletes the selected parts from the returned parts list.
See Editing Explicit Lists.

Flyout for Synchronize Session Unit Filters

Synchronize Session Filter Units
Updates all asynchronized filter units in session.
See Synchronize all Filter Units.
Synchronize Session Filter Units
Allows you to synchronize the selected Filter Units only.
See Synchronize Selected Filter Units.

Specification Commands

These commands are available when a specification is activated.

Compare Specifications
Compares specifications to see the differences among specifications containing many objects and lets you transfer objects from one specification to another.
See Comparing Specifications.
