A track for item can be used and simulated in an
Assembly Sequence and a Manufacturing Scenario.
Moving Objects Command and Panel
You must select
Moving Objects
in the
Track Anchoring context toolbar to open the
Moving Objects panel. This panel enables you to
select products/manufacturing assemblies and capable resources to move along a
track.
The manufacturing assembly (implemented objects) corresponding to
the selected item appears in the panel. It is possible to
manipulate the manufacturing assembly in this panel (zoom, and so on).
It is possible to select multiple items for the
creation of a track for item. The selected items must
have the same parent (that is, they must be parallel items).
Multi-selection of items is done using the
Moving Objects panel. The
Show Parallel
option must be set in the
Product Buildup Options panel.
Selection
At track for item selection, the trajectory is
cross-highlighted in the 3D (this is the same capability that is provided for a
track defined as an
excitation).
Only the trajectory is cross-highlighted in the 3D: the item corresponding to the track for item is not highlighted.
Contextual Menu on Track for Item
When you right-click the track for item thumbnail in
the Excitations panel, a context menu appears. The following main capabilities
are possible (same capabilities for track defined as an excitation):
- Join Tracks: joining tracks is possible
only for excitations defined for the same moving objects
- Add to Current Scenario /Remove from Current
Scenario: add/remove this excitation from the current scenario
- Delete: delete the excitation object. It
automatically removes all references in all scenarios and all Assembly
Sequences
- Properties: standard properties
Note:
Properties dialog box is the same as the one
displayed for a track defined as an excitation.
Integration in Manufacturing Scenario
Like any other excitation, the track for item can be
referenced in a manufacturing scenario. To access the scenario definition
panel, double-click the Scenario icon or right-click the Scenario icon and
select the
Definition command.
Integration in Assembly Sequence
Track for item can be added and managed in an Assembly
Sequence.
You can select the item from tree or the thumbnail of
the
Excitation tab.
Simulation of Track for Item
Products implemented by the item are simulated
according to the defined track.
Impact of Product/Item Modification on a Defined
Track for Item
If selected entity (item) is not loaded or no longer
exists, the track for item is not valid. Nothing is done during
track for item simulation.
When editing the track of the item entity, "no objects
selected" is displayed in the selected objects area. In this case, you can
select an item or exit editing using
Cancel. The excitation activity can be
deleted.
Hide/Show Behavior for Items
You can now apply hide or show to an item in the tree to
control visibility of the products implemented by that item, both
in the tree and the work area. The hide or show is applied from the context
menu of the item in the tree.
For example, in the structure below, if Item A is
hidden all products implemented by Item A will be hidden. In
addition, all products implemented by all child levels of Item A
(that is, implemented products of Items B and C) will also be
hidden.
If Item A is shown all products implemented by
Item A and all implemented products of Items B and C
will be shown.
Note that this visibility does not override the visibility that a
product inherits from its parent product.
