Track Authoring Context Toolbar

Context toolbars contain only those tools that can be applied to the current selection.

The commands available in the toolbar depend on the task you are doing: anchor positioning, creating a Track, editing a Track, Robot positioning, and snapping objects.

Snap Anchor

Defines the anchor position before authoring the Track (it is available before creation of first T-Point).

See Create a Track.

If the Keep product position when first moving object is replaced check box is selected in the Moving Objects panel, this command can be used to replace the first moving object of the Track using the axis systems of the old and new objects.

See Use Snap Anchor to Replace the First Moving Object.

Detach

Detaches the Robot from the moving objects when creating a Track.

See Detaching and Reattaching the Robot During Track Creation

Attach

Attaches the Robot to the moving objects when creating a Track.

See Detaching and Reattaching the Robot During Track Creation

Cumulative Snap

Enables you to identify a target and then create a Track from an object to the target

See Creating a Track Using Cumulative Snap

Snap Mechanical Ports

Replaces the first moving object of a Track by snapping a new object and the object to replaced. These objects must have mechanical ports.

See Use Snap Mechanical Ports to Replace the First Moving Object.

Moving Objects

Opens the Moving Objects panel for viewing and selecting the objects to move with Tracks. The panel display depends on the type of Track: product Track, manufactured item Track, Track under operation, or Track under resource.

See Select Objects to Move with Tracks, Create a Track for Item, and Managing Resources for a Track Under Operation.

Record

One click: Records Trajectory points (T-Points) one after another. If you double-click Record, the automatic insert mode is activated. You can also use the Insert key instead of clicking Record.

See Recording a Track

Modify

One click: Records modification(s) on one T-Point at a time.

On the Player toolbar, use Step Backward and Step Forward to position the manipulator on the required T-Points.

To deactivate this mode, click once. See Recording a Track

Delete

Deletes one T-Point after another. The cursor must be positioned on the T-Point to be deleted.

Note: When you are modifying the Track, if you need to delete multiple T-Points at a time, multi-select them (hold down Ctrl, and select with the left mouse button) and press Del.

See Recording a Track

Generate Track

This enables you to generate a Track along an edge or a curve. The Tracks can be used in conjunction with T-Point Tracks.

See Generating a Track Along an Edge or Curve
