Opening a Variability Rule

You can access all the information related to a variability rule.

Variability rules can be one of these types:

  • Matrix rules
  • Expression rules

Before you begin: Variant Management should be the active app.

About Variability Rules
  1. Click Home .
  2. Open the product line, model, model version, logical feature, variant, or option group.
  3. In the navigation pane, click Variability Rules.
  4. Click the page tab for the type of rule.

    Not all items support all types of rules. See Variability Rules Page for a list of which items support which types of rules.

  5. Click the name of the rule. You can use the categories in the navigation pane to access information related to the variability rule.

    Rule Name - Shows the properties for the rule.

    Expression Rule Properties

    Lifecycle Lifecycle Shows the lifecycle of the rule and highlights the current state.

    Only shows for matrix rules.
