Modifying Reported Item Details

You can modify the details of the items associated with events, inquiries, and equipment service requests (ESR). You can modify details such as device usage, expiration date, and quantity.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin:
  • The complaint, inquiry, or ESR must be in Create or In Process state.
  • You must be the owner, a quality manager, or complaint investigator.

Modify Event Repoted Item Details

You can modify the details of an item that is associated with an event. You can modify details such as batch and serial number, device usage, and quantity.

Before you begin: You must be on the Item Information page.
  1. From the Item Information page toolbar, click Enable Edit.
  2. Modify the following details.

    Column Name Description
    Batch/Lot Number Update the batch or lot number of the item.
    Serial Number Update the serial number of the item.
    Device In Use Select Yes if the item was in use when the problem occurred. Select No if the product item was not in use when the problem occurred.
    Part Number Update the part number of the item.
    Expiration Date Click and select the required date.
    Quantity Update the quantity of item used when the problem occurred.
    UOM Update the unit of measure of the quantity.

  3. Click Save.
    The modifications are saved.
  4. Click Disable Edit to exit edit mode.

Modify Inquiry and ESR Item Details

You can modify the details of the item associated with an inquiry or ESR. You can modify details such as batch and serial number, device usage, part number, expiration date, and quantity.

Before you begin: You must be on the Inquiry Power View page or Equipment Service Request Power View page.
  1. From the Reported Item Information tab toolbar, click Enable Edit.
  2. Modify the following details.

    Column Name Description
    Batch/Lot Number Update the batch or lot number of the item.
    Serial Number Update the serial number of the item.
    Device In Use Select Yes if the product item was in use when the problem occurred. Select No if the item was not in use when the problem occurred.
    Part Number Update the part number of the item.
    Expiration Date Click and select the required date.
    Quantity Update the quantity of item used when the problem occurred.
    UOM Update the unit of measure of the quantity.

  3. Click Save.
    The modifications are saved.
