Action Bar

The Engineering Templates section of the action bar provides commands for adding and removing components, inputs, and parameters to the template.

Add Reference to Template Definition
Click to select a reference using the Search function.
For more information, see Adding a Reference to a Template Definition.
Add Representation to Template Definition
Click to add a representation using the Search function.
For more information, see Adding a Representation to a Template Definition.
Remove Selected Components from Template Definition
Click to remove the selected components from the engineering template.
For more information, see Removing a Selected Component from a Template Definition.

Add Selected Components to Components to Duplicate
Click to add a reference to duplicate. Duplicated components are the ones modified at instantiation.
For more information, see Creating an Engineering Template Using the Duplicate Feature.
Remove Selected Components from Components to Process
Click to remove either a component to duplicate or replace from the engineering template.
For more information, see Removing Selected Components from Components to Process.
Add Selected Components to Components to Replace
Click to add your selected components to the list of components to be replaced. Replace components need to be replaced on instantiation.
For more information, see Creating an Engineering Template Using the Replace Behavior.
Add Inputs to Template Definition
Click to select inputs to add. You are requested to select the corresponding inputs in the new context on instantiation.
For more information, see Adding Inputs to a Template Definition.
Remove Selected Inputs from Template Definition
Click to remove the selected inputs from the engineering template definition.
For more information, see Removing Selected Inputs from a Template Definition.

Remove Selected Meta Input from Template Definition
Click to remove the meta inputs. Meta inputs are used to group inputs to avoid mass selection at instantiation.
For more information, see Removing Selected Inputs from a Template Definition.

Add Parameters to Template Definition
Click to add a parameter to the engineering template. Parameters can be published to change their values at instantiation.
