Editing Multi-Pockets

You can add or delete the extrusion domain to edit the multi-pockets.

Add an Extrusion Domain (New Profile Sketched Outside)

The new profile is sketched outside existing extrusion domains.

  1. Double-click Sketch.x and edit it.
  2. Exit the Sketcher.
    A warning message informs you about the modification of the initial geometry.
  3. Close the window.
  4. Double-click MultiPocket.x feature in the tree.

    The Feature Definition Error dialog box provides the details of the modification.

    Impacting modifications in the profile are taken into account.

  5. Click OK to close the window.
    The Multi-Pocket.x dialog box reappears.

    The new extrusion domain is indicated.

  6. Select the new extrusion domain and enter the required values in the respective columns.

Multi-pocket.x is now composed of more pockets.



Add an Extrusion Domain (New Profile Sketched Inside)

The new profile is sketched inside an existing extrusion domain.

  1. Double-click Sketch.x and edit it.


  2. Exit the Sketcher.
    A warning message informs you the modification of the initial geometry.
  3. Close the window.
  4. Double-click MultiPocket.x.
    The Feature Definition Error window displays, providing the details of the modification:

    Impacting modifications in the profile are taken into account.

    When sketching a profile inside an existing extrusion domain, the app deletes that existing domain and replaces it with a new one. This is why the message window displays the information about the impacted domains.

  5. Click OK to close the window.
    The Multi-Pocket.x dialog box reappears. The deleted domains are no more displayed. On the contrary, new extrusion domains are added in the table.
  6. Enter the limiting lengths for the new domains.



Delete an Extrusion Domain

A profile is deleted from the existing extrusion domains.

  1. Double-click Sketch.x and delete an existing domain.


  2. Quit the Sketcher.
    The Update Diagnosis dialog box is displayed to inform you about modifications done to the initial geometry.
    Note: To tackle the problem, you can edit, deactivate, or even delete MultiPocket.x.
  3. Make sure that MultiPocket.x is selected and click the Edit button.
    The Feature Definition Error window displays, providing the details of the modification.
  4. Click OK to close the window.
    The Multi-Pocket.x dialog box reappears.
