Preparing a Curves Network

You can define the boundaries of future surfaces, assemble them into a network before generating a surface in each cell of the network. Curves Network Preparation is about this first step of the network approach: Creating the set of curves on the selected mesh, used as boundaries of the future surfaces.

Context: Curves Network Preparation proposes four zones of interaction:

  • One toolbar to select actions.
  • One zone with options specific to the current action.
  • One zone for the mathematical definition of the current object.
  • One toolbar with analysis tools.

  1. Create a Geometrical Set and make it the Define In Work Object where the curves are created.
  2. From the Wireframe section of the action bar, click Curves Network Preparation and select a Mesh.
  3. From the first toolbar, select Manage Mesh Map .

A mesh map helps you understand the shape of the mesh. Use it as guide while creating curves.

    1. Either select a mesh map from the tree.
    2. Or press to create one.

For more information, see Analyzing the Mesh.

  4. From the same toolbar, create curves:

The content of the other zones varies according to the selected action.

  5. Show/hide the analysis adapted to the current action.
