Revising a Comment

You can revise a comment that is in work, frozen, or released, but needs to updated or changed in a controlled way.

Required responsibilities:

  • Baseline: Leader (when the object is in the Frozen state) or Author

Before you begin: Open the comment that you want to revise. See Opening a Comment.

Revisions Page
  1. In the navigation pane, select Revisions.
    The Revisions page for the comment opens.
  2. From the page toolbar, click Create Revision.

A new revision of the comment is created in the "Private" state. The Revision column updates to indicate that the current comment now has a higher revision available. The new comment revision has all of the same relationships to its parent objects that the previous revision had. After you have created the first revision of a comment, the Replace By New Revision and Replace By Last Revision commands are available from the Actions menu.
