Revising a Requirement

You can revise a requirement that is in work, frozen, or released, but needs to updated or changed in a controlled way.

Tip: You can revise a requirement from the Revisions page using the Create Revision command.

Required responsibilities:

  • Baseline: Leader (when the object is in the Frozen state) or Author

Revisions Page
  1. Select the requirement's row at the top of the structure display.
  2. From the toolbar, select Actions > Revision .
    The Create New Revision panel opens.
  3. Click Create and Close.

A new revision of the requirement is created in the "Private" state. The Revision column updates to indicate that the current requirement now has a higher revision available. The new requirement revision has all of the same parent relationships to its child objects that the previous revision had. In the new requirement revision, the statuses of parenthood links to downstream and sub requirements are reset to "Suspect".
