Revising a Specifications Folder

You can revise a specifications folder that is in work, frozen, or released, but needs to updated or changed in a controlled way.

Required responsibilities:

  • Baseline: Leader (when the object is in the Frozen state) or Author

Before you begin: Open the specifications folder that you want to revise. See Opening a Specifications Folder.

Revisions Page
  1. In the navigation pane, select Revisions.
    The Revisions page for the specifications folder opens.
  2. From the page toolbar, click Create Revision.

A new revision of the specifications folder is created in the "Private" state. The Revision column updates to indicate that the current specifications folder now has a higher revision available. The new specifications folder revision has all of the same relationships to its child objects that the previous revision had. After you have created the first revision of a specifications folder, the Replace By New Revision and Replace By Last Revision commands are available from the Actions menu.
