Editing Properties of a Requirement

Authorized Product Engineers or System Engineers can make changes to requirements.

Required responsibilities:

  • Baseline: Leader (when the object is in the Frozen state) or Author


Before you begin:

  1. In the navigation pane, click Properties > Attributes.
  2. Click Actions > Modify Properties .
  3. Edit any of these requirement properties as needed:

    FieldDescription
    TypeClick to change the type of requirement.
    TitleAdd or edit the short descriptive title of the requirement.
    ContentAdd or edit the content of the requirement. Use the rich-text controls to format text and to add tables and graphics. See Editing Rich Content.
    OwnerClick to change the owner of the requirement.
    PriorityFrom the drop-down list, select the priority for fulfilling this requirement:

    • Pre-assigned
    • Low
    • Medium
    • High
    • Urgent

    DifficultyFrom the drop-down list, select the difficulty of the requirement:

    • High
    • Medium
    • Low

    Sponsoring CustomerClick to change the customer sponsoring the requirement.
    Designated UserClick to change the designated user of the requirement.
    User Requirement ImportanceFrom the drop-down list, select the importance of the requirement to the user:

    • High
    • Least Important
    • Low
    • Medium
    • Very High

    Requirement ClassificationFrom the drop-down list, select the classification of the requirement:

    • None
    • Functional
    • Non-Functional
    • Constraint

    Requirement CategoryAdd or edit the category of the requirement.

  4. Click Done.
