Defects Assessment Dashboard Page

The Defect Assessment Dashboard page lists new defect submissions for model versions that you own where the defect is in the "Submit" or "Evaluate" state.

Required access roles:

  • App-specific: Defect Engineer
  • Baseline: Author, Reader, or user with Review and Approve (RWA) license

This page discusses:

Columns

Column NameDescription
NameThe name of the defect (usually an autoname). Click to open the defect. See Defect Properties.
TitleThe short title of the defect.
DescriptionA more detailed description of the defect.
DispositionsThe total number of dispositions for the defect and, in parentheses, the total number of model versions associated with those dispositions. For example, this shows 2(6) if there are 2 dispositions for the defect associated with 6 model versions. Click to open the Dispositions page for the defect. See Dispositions Page.
StateThe current lifecycle state of the defect action:
  • Evaluate
  • Open
  • Test
  • Closed
  • Rejected
PriorityThe priority value, from P0 to P3, of the defect. P0 is the highest priority.
SeverityHow severe the defect is, a value from S0 (the highest severity) to S3 (the lowest severity).
OwnerThe person responsible for the defect.
Originated DateThe date the defect documenting the problem was created.
OriginatorThe person who entered the defect.
Status:
Reason for RejectionIf the defect action was rejected, shows the reason.
Reporting Information:
Reported AgainstThe model version where the defect was found. Click to open the model version. See Model Version Properties Page.
Reporting Organization The organization of the person who reported the defect. Click to open the organization.
(Edit Details)Click to open the Edit Details page for the defect action. See Editing Defect Action Details.
(New Window)Opens the defect action in a new window. See Defect Action Properties.

Filters

Use the Report Type menu to filter the page to show the defects related to you and your organization in specific ways:

My Model Version DefectsShows all defects that were reported against model versions that you own.
My Organization DefectsShows all defects with your organization as the "Reporting Organization." This option is available only if you have the Defect Manager role.
My Reported DefectsShows all defects that you reported or originated.
My DefectsShows all defects that you originated or own, or that have a defect action that you originated, own, or for which you are the assigned Action Assignee or Quality assignee.

Use the State Filter menu to filter the page to show only defects in a particular state:

My Organization DefectsShows all defects with your organization as the "Reporting Organization." This option is available only if you have the Defect Manager role.
My Reported DefectsShows all defects that you reported or originated.
My DefectsShows all defects that you originated or own, or that have a defect action that you originated, own, or for which you are the assigned Action Assignee or Quality assignee.

Mass Reject Rejects the selected defects. All selected defects must be in the Submit or Evaluate state, or if Open, all defect actions must be closed.

The same reason for rejection and notes are entered for each selected defect.

Rejecting a Defect
Delete Deletes the selected defects. Click OK to confirm.

Required access roles:

  • App-specific: None
  • Baseline: Leader

Copy Copies the details of the selected defect to a new defect. The newly-created defect is then listed as a related defect for the original defect.

Required access roles:

  • App-specific: Defect Engineer
  • Baseline: Author

Copying a Defect
Edit Toggles the page to edit mode. You can edit defect information in the individual marked fields or use the Mass Update menu to update the information for a field in all defects at once.
