Test Design Tab

The Test Design tab defines the time points and activities for the study, and allows you to review the available and required amounts for the study's lots.

Creating and Opening Studies

Indicates the Test Design tab in an editable study.

Opens the Summary Amount view, displaying a summary of the amount calculations.

Materials: Expand this section to view all materials for the study, opens the Materials tab. For more information, see Specifying Materials and Lots.

Note: For manufactured lots, the Receipt Lot ID updates when the material is received.

Test Design for all Materials: Collapse this section to hide the test design for the study.

Use a Master Sample specifies use of a master sample for each material in each storage condition, taking an aliquot for each test not defined as reusing the same sample.

Use Sample Grouping specifies creation of a single task that groups all samples for each test at each time point.

Deletes a time point, storage condition, or activity.

Indicates a combination of time point and condition or activity to always include in the study.

Indicates a combination of time point and condition or activity to sometimes include in the study.

Indicates a combination of time point and condition or activity to exclude from the study.

Time Points
Opens the Add Time Point dialog box. For more information, see Designing Tests.
Storage Conditions
Opens the Storage Conditions tab. For more information, see Defining Storage Conditions.
For an Extra Amount cell, click in the value and units fields to edit the additional amount to store.
Activities
Opens the Activities tab. For more information, see Defining Activities and Defining Tasks.
For an Amount cell, click in the value and units fields to edit the amount required for the test.
Indicates whether an activity is non-destructive (black) and whether it reuses a single sample for every time point (blue). Gray icons indicate destructive activities that cannot reuse samples. For more information, see Configuring Samples.
