Your app provides a single environment for modeling assemblies and parts.
Most CAD applications have multiple modeling environments, such as different file types for parts versus assemblies. Each modeling environment can contain a unique set of commands. Before you can select a file type and begin modeling, you must first develop the conceptual design outside of the application, so that you can decide how to group features into components.
The single modeling environment enables you to start modeling much earlier in the design process. Within a single workspace, called a product, you can create sketches, features, bodies, and components. You can access all commands at any time. You can create the geometry that represents your design without concern for how that geometry will be used later. As your design evolves and you refine the design intent and manufacturing requirements, you can convert the geometry into components.
