Opening a Company, Subsidiary, or Business Unit

You can access all the information related to your Company , Subsidiary, or Business Unit.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Administrator, Reader, Owner

Note: Not all access roles have access to all categories, information, or actions. Suppliers can view other supplier companies, but cannot view all categories and cannot perform any actions.

  1. In the navigation pane, click View My Company or, to view a different company, click Companies and click the name of the required company.

    To open a Subsidiary or Business Unit, click Subsidiaries or Business Units, then click the name of the required organization. You must be an employee of the company, not a member of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, to view subsidiaries.

  2. You can use the categories in the navigation pane to access information related to the organization.

    Company, Subsidiary, or Business Unit Name Lists the properties that define the organization. Company, Subsidiary, Business Unit, and Department Properties
    Business Skills Lists the available skills and subskills that can be assigned to people. Does not show for Business Units.

    You must be an employee of the company, not a member of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, to view business skills.

    Business Units Lists the business units added to this organization and lets you add and edit them. Business Units Page
    Work Calendars Lists the available calendars. Does not show for Business Units. Only shows if Project Management is used. Project Management User's Guide
    Departments Shows the departments for the organization. Departments Page
    Plants Shows the plants for the organization.

    You must be an employee of the company, not a member of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, to view plants.

    People Provides a list of people who work for the organization.

    You must be an employee of the company, not a member of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, to view the list of people.

    Subsidiaries Lists the subsidiaries added for the company and lets you add and edit them. Does not show for Business Units or Customer companies.

    You must be an employee of the company, not a member of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, to view subsidiaries.

    Images Views and manages images associated with the company.

    Only shows for Business Units.

    Currency Exchange Rate Lists the currency exchange rates for the organization.

    You must be an employee of the company, not a member of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, to view currency exchange rates.

    Resource Management Shows the persons who can add, remove, and edit resource assignments for this organization. Only shows if Project Management is used. Project Management User's Guide: Managing Resources
