Surface Machining Section

The Surface Machining section of the action bar provides commands for creating Surface Machining operations.



Roughing
Creates an operation to rough-machine parts by horizontal planes.

Sweeping
Creates a semi-finishing and finishing operation that machines the whole part after it has been rough-machined.

ZLevel
See Creating a ZLevel Machining Operation.


Advanced Finishing
Creates an operations dedicated to machining grooves in one shot.
The vertical area is machined with ZLevel passes while the horizontal area is machined with contour-driven passes.

Deburring
Creates a Deburring operation. Deburring breaks or chamfers sharp edges and removes built-up burns from a finished surface.
Sharp edges are automatically detected after selecting a part. Candidate edges are displayed, and you can apply different filters to adjust the selection.
