Configuration Manager Introductory Concepts

Before you begin using Operations Experience Builder, you need to know the basic concepts of the Configuration Manager panel.

The Configuration Manager panel enables you to author your experience by customizing different concepts.

Concept Tabs
Lists all the Configuration Manager concepts that you can customize.

Concept Content
The Concept Content comprises:
  • The Concept Header area: Displays the name of the opened concept and includes basic commands.
  • The Concept Data table: Displays the related data to the opened concept and enables you to manage them.
You can display multiple concepts at the same time as shown in the image.

Concept Tabs

The concepts enable you to customize your experience according to your needs.

Assets

The Assets tab lets you define the asset mapping. Asset mapping allows you to retrieve object-specific information from defined tags by linking asset interfaces and data source end points to assets.

The use of assets is closely related to the data sources and the interfaces.

Data Sources

Data Sources are defined to retrieve the required information within your factory.

The use of data sources is closely related to the assets and the interfaces.

Interfaces

Interfaces highlight object information according to defined tags, such as the battery, the storage, or the position.

The use of interfaces is closely related to the assets, the data sources, the B.I. Essentials, and the information panels.

BI Essentials

B.I. Essentials reveal the relevant object attributes in your experience.

Information

Information panels display detailed information about objects and your overall experience.

Time Manager

The Time Manager displays the time information of your experience and lets you view and track it over time.

Concept Content

The Concept Content comprises the Concept Header area and the Concept Data table.

Concept Header

The Concept Header area includes the following basic commands:

Create
Creates and adds new concepts and associated information in the Concept Data table.
Delete
Deletes elements from your data.
Find
Searches for occurrences of an element name within the Concept Data table.
