Action Bar: Data Preparation Section

The Data Preparation section of the action bar provides commands for displaying tessellated abstraction models information, a history of the simplification operations, simplifying abstraction models using HSR and decimation techniques and redefining a local axis system.

Information Report
Displays information on all or part of the model.
The report includes information such as the name of the product, the number of triangles, the density...
See Retrieving Information about the Model.

History
Displays a list of the operations performed during the preparation process and a detailed status.
See Displaying a History.

Mesh Review
Defines a rendering mode suitable for a mesh review.
This rendering mode provides options for visualizing the mesh color and surface shading.
See Reviewing the Model Mesh.

Hidden Surface Removal
Removes hidden elements with respect to predefined or customized viewpoints.
See Removing Hidden Elements.

Decimation
Simplifies the model's representation by reducing the number of triangles.
By default, it provides three levels of decimation: weak, medium and strong. Expand the advanced section to display more options.
See Decimating Tessellated Models.

Local Axis System
Redefines a local axis system on selected elements.
To redefine a local axis, do either of the following:
  • Move the Robot arcs or axes,
  • Enter values in the Local Axis System Redefinition dialog box,
  • Use accelerators.
See Redefining the Local Axis System.

Painter
Applies colors to all or part of the model.
See Applying Colors.

Display Structure View
Switches the view of the model from 3D Design to structure.
To switch back to the 3D Design view, click Structure View again.
See Editing the Structure.

Selection
Selects products in the prepared model according to predefined criteria.
Three types of criteria are available: textual, numeric and Boolean.
See Using the Selection Tool.

Animation Manager
Selects an animation associated to the model in the list.
Select an animation and click Play.
See Using the Animation Manager.

Merge Elements
Merges one or more products into a new single product.
