Retention Record/Hold Properties

You can view the details about a retention record or retention hold object, and edit several of the attributes.

To access this page:

  1. View the record retention schedule. See Record Retention Schedule; or

    View the record retention schedule for a document. See List of Retention Schedules for a Document.

  2. Click Name of the retention record or retention hold.
  3. In the Categories menu, click the name of the retention record or retention hold.

Fields

Field Name Description
Name The name of the record retention or record hold.
Type The type of the object you are viewing (Retention Record or Retention Hold).
Title The title of the record retention or record hold.
Description The description of the record retention or record hold.
State The current state in the object's lifecycle.
Owner The user owns the record retention or record hold.
Default Retention Period(Yrs) For Retention Records only: the retention period.
Comments Any provided comments.
Originated The date when the record retention or record hold was created.
Policy Retention Record or Retention Hold.

Edit Details Action

To edit the retention record or retention hold properties:

  1. Click Edit in the page toolbar.
  2. Edit any of these fields as required:

    Field Name Description
    Name The name of the retention record or retention hold.
    Title The title of the retention record or retention hold.
    Description The description of the retention record or retention hold.
    Owner To select a different owner, click . The owner must be assigned the Record Retention Manager role.
    Comments Any additional comments.
    Default Retention Period(Yrs) For Retention Records only: the retention period.

  3. Click Done.
