Refine Section

The Refine section of theaction bar provides commands for modifying the geometry.

This page discusses:

Edge Fillet
Creates a fillet of a constant or variable radius that is tangent to and joins two surfaces.
See Creating Edge Fillets.

Chamfer
Creates a chamfer by adding or removing a flat section from a selected edge to create a beveled surface between the two original faces common to that edge.
See Creating Chamfers.

Draft
Creates a constant or a variable draft based on a neutral element.
See Creating Basic Draft Features.

Remove Face
Simplifies a 3D shape by removing selected faces.
See Creating Remove Face Features.

Thickness
Adds thickness to a 3D shape.
See Creating Thicknesses.

Blend Corner
Creates a blend corner to redesign a surface.
Creating a Solid Blend Corner

Flyout for Edge Fillet

Edge Fillet
Creates a fillet of a constant or variable radius that is tangent to and joins two surfaces.
See Creating Edge Fillets.

Face-Face Fillet
Creates a face-face fillet.
See Creating Face-Face Fillets.

Tritangent Fillet
Creates a tritangent fillet among three faces, two of which are supporting faces. The creation of tritangent fillets involves the removal of one of the three faces you selected.
See Creating Tritangent Fillets.

Auto Fillet
Fillets and rounds the edges of a 3D part.
See Creating Auto Fillets.

Flyout for Draft Angle

Draft
Creates a constant or a variable draft based on a neutral element.
See Creating Basic Draft Features.

Draft reflect line
Creates a draft, using the reflect line as neutral element.
See Creating Drafts from Reflect Lines.

Variable Angle Draft
Creates a draft with variable drafting angles.
See Creating Variable Angle Drafts.

Draft Both Sides
Creates a draft on either side of the parting element.
See Creating Both Side Drafts.

Advanced Draft
Drafts basic 3D shapes or create drafts from reflect lines.
See Creating Advanced Drafts.

Auto Draft
Drafts basic 3D shapes or create drafts from reflect lines.
See Creating Auto Drafts for Casting.

Flyout for Remove Face

Remove Face
Simplifies a 3D shape by removing selected faces.
See Creating Remove Face Features.

Replace Face
Replaces a face or a set of tangent faces with a surface.
See Creating Replace Face Features.

Sew Surface
Sews multiple surfaces into a body.
See Creating Sew Surface Features.
