Adding Behaviors to Actors

You can add ready-to-use behaviors to some 3D actors: Car Controller, Explode, Imitate, Open/Close, Rotate.

Important: Make sure you read the description of a behavior before using it for a given actor.


Before you begin: From the Perception Experience section of the action bar, click Project Panel to open the panel.
  1. Select an actor in the work area.
  2. In the Project Panel, right-click the actor and select Add behavior.
  3. In the context menu, select a behavior:

    Car Controller Lets you drive a car interactively. You can accelerate, decelerate, brake, or orient the wheels. For more information, see Creative Experience User's Guide: Car Controller Properties.
    Explode Animates a product to generate an exploded view of its structure. For more information, see Creative Experience User's Guide: Explode Properties.
    Note: Only the elements exposed as subactors are expanded.
    Imitate Applies transformations of a 3D actor to another actor. For more information, see Creative Experience User's Guide: Imitate Properties.
    Note: You can apply one or more transformations: rotation, translation, or scale.
    Open / Close Translates or rotates an object to simulate a door animation. For more information, see Creative Experience User's Guide: Open Close Properties.
    Rotate Rotates a 3D actor around an axis. For more information, see Creative Experience User's Guide: Rotate Properties.

Note: You can remove a behavior from an actor. In the Project Panel, right-click the actor, select Remove behavior, and then select the behavior to remove.
