Diagram Section

The Diagram section provides commands to create and edit content in a diagram view.

	Insert New Layout See Flyout for Inserting Layouts
	Insert New Sheet See Flyout for Inserting Sheets
	Insert New User View See Flyout for Inserting Views
	Generate Function Chain View Generates a function chain. Click Generate Function Chain View, and then select the first instance. To place the next instance, select an instance, an output port or an interface in the view. See Generating a Function Chain.
	Insert Symbol Representation Creates a symbol representation in a logical/physical component. Select a logical/physical component. Enter a name, and then click Finish. See Creating a Symbol Representation.
	Display Relations Displays the functional or logical connections of a selected object. All the relations of the selected object in the diagram view appears. In the diagram view, to create the route corresponding to a relation,select a row, and then click OK. See Displaying Functional/Logical Relations in a Diagram View.
	Display Relation Details Displays the connections and ports involved in a route. All the connections and ports involved in the route appears. To highlight an object in the tree, select it in the Display Relation Details window. See Displaying Functional/Logical Relations in a Diagram View.
	Create Polyline See Flyout for Creating 2D Geometry
	Go Down Replaces the parent component by its children. See Managing Navigation between Parent/Children Levels
	Go Up Replaces the children components by their parent. See Managing Navigation between Parent/Children Levels
	Text See Flyout for Creating Text
	Table See Flyout for Managing Tables and Balloons
	Arrow Creates arrows. See Creating Arrows
	Insert Picture Inserts a picture in a diagram view. See Inserting a Picture

Flyout for Inserting Layouts


	Insert New Layout Inserts a new layout. Enter a name for your layout and click Finish. See Creating a Diagram View.
	Insert Existing Layout Inserts an existing layout. Select the logical reference under which it will be stored and then, select the existing layout. See Inserting an Existing Layout Sheet or View.

	Insert New Sheet Inserts a new sheet. Enter a name for your sheet and click Finish. See Creating a Diagram View.
	Insert Existing Sheet Inserts an existing sheet. Select the logical reference under which it will be stored and then, select the existing sheet. See Inserting an Existing Layout Sheet or View.

Flyout for Inserting Views


	Insert New View Inserts a view containing a diagram view. Enter a name for your view and click Finish. See Creating a Diagram View.
	Inserting Existing View Inserts an existing view. Select the logical reference under which it will be stored and then, select the existing view. See Inserting an Existing Layout Sheet or View.
	Generate Automatic View Generates automatically a diagram view from the architecture of a function or logical model. Select a root component and indicate which components will be placed in view based on their ports direction. See Generating Diagram Views from a Model.
	Generate Assembly of Views Merges the content of several diagram views into a new one. If a parent component is placed in one of the selected diagram views, none of its children is copied in the new diagram view, only the parent. See Merging Diagram Views.
	Create Allocation View Creates an allocation view containing all implement links allocating functions to logical components. Beforehand, an implement link between the root function and the root logical components must be created. See Creating Allocation View.
	Duplicate View Duplicates the content of a diagram view in a new one. Click thecommand. Select the view to be duplicated, and then select the component under which the new view will be created. See Duplicating Views.

	Create Polyline Creates a polyline. Click the diagram view to position all the points of your geometry. See Creating a Polyline.
	Create Ellipse Creates an ellipse. Click the diagram view to position the ellipse center. Enlarge your geometry, and then click. See Creating an Ellipse.
	Create Circle Creates a circle. Click the diagram view to position the circle center. Enlarge your geometry, and then click. See Creating a Circle.
	Create Rectangle Creates a rectangle. Click the diagram view to position the rectangle first point. Enlarge the geometry, and then click. See Creating a Rectangle.
	Create Line Creates a line. Click the diagram view to position the first end of the line. Drag your pointer to draw the line, and then click. See Creating a Line.

	Instantiate Text Instantiates the text template stored in a current drawing or a catalog. See Instantiating Table Templates.
