Affecting Open or Waived Defects Reports

You can drill down into the defect and disposition information shown in the Affecting Defects view on the Model Version Hierarchy page to view either the Affecting Open Defects report or the Affecting Waived Defects report. These reports list the unresolved or waived defects, and any associated defect actions and dispositions, that affect the selected model version revision in the model version hierarchy.

To access this page:

  1. Open the required model version.
  2. In the navigation pane, select Defect Management.
  3. Select the Model Version Hierarchy page tab.
  4. From the toolbar, click View then select Affecting Defects.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Click the number of defects without dispositions in the Unresolved Defects (without Dispositions) column to run the Affecting Open Defects report.
    • Click the number of defects without dispositions in the Waived Defects (without Dispositions) column to run the Affecting Waived Defects report.

Column Name Description
Basics:
NameThe name of the object (usually an autoname).
RevisionRevision level of the object.
TypeThe type of object:
  • Defect
  • Defect Action
StateThe current lifecycle state of the object.
TitleThe short object title.
PriorityThe priority for fixing a defect, where P0 means the highest priority and P3 is the lowest priority. This is blank for defect actions.
SeverityHow severe a defect is, where S0 is a showstopper and S3 is the least severe. This is blank for defect actions.
OwnerThe person responsible for managing the object.
Reporting Information:
Reported AgainstThe first revision of the model version where the defect is thought to exist. Click to open the model version revision.
Committed ForIf the defect action is committed to be fixed, the model version it is committed for. Click to open the model version. This is blank for defects.
Status:
Defect Action TypeThe area where the fix described by the defect action needs to be made.
