Structural Load Analysis During Assembly of a Clip and Buckle

This example guides you through creating and performing structural simulations on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.

You will learn how to:

  • Create a structural simulation that predicts the force required to insert a clip into a buckle.
  • Select appropriate physical interaction models, create simulation steps, and choose appropriate loading and boundary conditions.
  • Use common simulation features, such as restraints, loads, general contact, and kinematic couplings.
  • Create and run a simulation.
  • View the results of a simulation.

This example introduces only one simulation analysis procedure: static analysis. It does not include techniques for managing multiple CAD geometries, applying advanced meshing techniques, using multiple steps in a simulation, or managing multiple simulations and results.
