Action Pad Panel

The Action Pad panel lets you organize your favorite commands.

By default, Die Face Design proposes the commands listed below, provided you have access to the corresponding apps.

Note: The online User Assistance of commands imported from other apps may be available only from the action bar of those apps.

To access the Action Pad panel, from the Tools section of the action bar, click Action Pad , or right-click inside the 3D area and select Display > Action Pad.

Body
Inserts a body.

Scan or Define In Work Object

Stamping Direction
Defines the stamping direction, analyzes the surface to stamp and adds secondary directions.

Porcupine Curvature Analysis
Creates a visual representation of the point, tangent and curvature continuity of curves and surfaces.
Surfacic Curvature Analysis
Maps a color texture on a surface according to the curvature in each point.

Connect Checker Analysis
Analyzes the connections between two curves.

Mid Surface
Creates a mid surface from a pair of faces that are offset from each other or from a set of faces with some offset.
Split
Splits a surface or wireframe element using a cutting element.
Boundary
Creates the boundary curve of a surface or the boundary point of a curve by selecting a surface edge or a surface.
Fill Surface
Fills holes generated by inner boundaries of surfaces.

Fill
Creates a fill surface between boundary segments

Convex Polygon
Computes a convex polygon that contains the projected boundary of the stamped part.

Extract
Extracts a face or a surface edge.
Extrude
Creates an extruded surface by extruding a profile along a given direction.
Profile
Creates profiles on selected vertices of the part boundary.

Addendum Surface
Creates addendum surfaces to represent the simple preformed sheet of metal that connects the stamped part to the binder.

Multi-Sections Surface
Creates a multi-section surface by sweeping one or more section curves along an automatically computed or user-defined spine.

Curve Smooth
Smooths a curve by filling gaps and smoothing tangency and curvature discontinuities.

Polygon Face Selection
Selects faces by drawing a polygonal trap.
Tangency Face Selection
Selects faces by tangency propagation from the last selected face.
Color Selection
Selects faces that are of the same color as and connected to the last selected face.
Belt Selection
Selects faces by propagation on a belt.
Up To Boundary Face Selection
Selects faces by propagation up to a given boundary.
