About Monitored Outputs

You can set an output operator as monitored by clicking Monitor in the dialog box that appears when you edit the operator:

When an output operator is monitored, the icon is highlighted: .

The output operators that can be monitored are the following:

• Watch. For more information about this operator, see Watch.
• Charts. For more information about this operator, see Charts.

Monitored outputs are listed in the Monitor tab that is available on the left panel within the interactive view.

Tips: In the Monitor tab, you can also click New output to create a node and monitor its output. Existing nodes that are eligible for the output monitoring appear under the Existing nodes list. The Monitor command is also available on the context toolbar in the Graph. See Context Bar. In the Graph Editor, you can create regions to group your monitored outputs. Regions always appear at the top level in the monitored ouputs' list. For more information, see Regions.

In the Monitor tab, you can track the effect of your modifications on the value of the output that is monitored. The output value is also updated simultaneously in its edition dialog box and in the graph view.

Tip: You can undock the tab to manage monitored outputs in a new panel.

In the tab, click to display additional commands:

• Move Up or Move Down lets you reorder the monitored outputs and the regions within the tab.

  When you modify the order, changes are persisted in your model after using Save or Refresh.

• Edit lets you modify an output in the operation dialog box.
• Remove lets you withdraw an output from the list.
