User Interface Description

This page details the basics of the user interface components specific to the interactive view.

Main Components

The work area of the interactive view is composed of the following areas:

Left panel

Provides three tabs:

Operation dialog box

Appears when you:

  • Click a command from the action bar or on a context toolbar to create an operation.
  • Double-click an object to edit an operation.

Action bar

Displays commands divided in five sections:

  • Fixed Area section: provides a set of default commands that are needed frequently. Also allows to:
    • Access the app's Home page
    • Open the graph view
  • Construct section: provides commands to create wireframe geometries.
  • Create section: provides commands to create surfaces and volumes.
  • Operate section: provides commands to manipulate the topology.
  • View section: provides commands to perform viewing operations.

Other Components

Progress Bar

A progress bar appears at the top of the work area during the computation of an operation.

Breadcrumb

When you select an element in the 3D area, a breadcrumb appears to allow you to select another element. After clicking a first element, you can either:

  • Select another element which is at the same selection point. To do so, you can click the down arrow to access in depth selection.

  • Select another element which is part of a collection.

Note: Whenever you select a single element to extract and use it as an input for an operation, an extraction node is created. The extraction node is linked to the right input in the operation node.
