Editing App-specific Preferences

The following new preferences are added in the Preferences dialog box:
  • The new Keep selected features at capture display option under Annotation sets, keeps the selected technological features, selected in the capture view.
  • The new System 3D Architecture check box, added under Attributes, displays the pathway features in a dedicated attributes table.

Reviewing Pathway Features

You can now review system 3D architecture features (pathway features).
These features are presented in a dedicated System 3D Architecture attributes table.
Benefits: This functionality lets you load the pathway features, select them, and display the specific text information.

Composite Review Enhancement

You can now see the draping direction and other additional information for ply features.
Also, in the attribute tables, you can now do the following:
  • sort the table contents in an attribute table using the new Enable Sorting option.
  • filter the contents of the table by the various feature types.
Benefits: This functionality replaces the use of ply books by directly accessing the composite definition.

View Mode

A new command, View Mode , lets you modify the current view using the available options. Also, the following commands have been removed from the View section of the action bar:
  • Perspective View
  • Parallel View
  • Hide/Show Reference Axis
  • Hide/Show Lines
  • Hide/Show Points
  • All rendering commands
Benefits: This enhancement simplifies the user interface for modifying the current view, by merging several commands into a single command.

Fly/Walk Navigation

You can now remain in the fly/walk navigation mode and create other features (such as markers, measures, sections).
Benefits: This functionality improves the usability of this command.

Reviewing Annotation Sets Created in xDefine

You can now display annotation sets defined in xDefine.
Benefits: This functionality displays the annotations data created in X-apps.

Specifying a Mouse Profile

Three preferences are now available to let you select a mouse profile for manipulating viewpoints in your dashboard app: CATIA, SOLIDWORKS, and 3DEXPERIENCE. To specify this option:
  1. Select Me > Preferences.
  2. From the Mouse Control area, select the required option. By default, 3DEXPERIENCE is selected.
Benefits: You can easily access viewpoints in your dashboard app by specifying the mouse profile option that best fits your needs.

Improved Measuring of Various Elements

The measure functionality is improved in the following ways:
You can now:
  • Create measurements based on the type of the selected geometry, regardless of the selected filters and switch between various alternate measure types.
  • Compute maximum distance between 3D objects.
  • Customize the measure label.
  • The context toolbar for measure features is now improved.
Benefits: This enhancement ensures faster and more intuitive creation of various types of measures.

Displaying Captures

For captures that are not associated with a camera or a reframe area, the viewpoint is reframed on the filtered annotations and on the filtered geometry while displaying these captures.
Benefits: This functionality enhances the display of specific captures to ensure that everything defined in the capture is displayed clearly.
