View, Tools, and Configuration Sections

The View and Tools sections provide commands to manage the views and extract information from the objects. The Configuration section provides commands to manage configuration contexts and variants.

View



Expand All
Expands all objects in the tree or graph.
Select a root object and click Expand All to view the objects under the root.
Alternates and Substitutes View
View alternates and substitutes of a manufactured item.
Click Alternates and Substitutes View to open the Alternates and Substitutes panel.


Alternates View
Assigns or removes alternates of a manufactured item.
Click Alternates View to open the Alternates panel. To search and add a manufactured item, right-click on the header or a manufactured item, and click Add Alternates.


Origins View
Assigns or removes origin links to a manufactured item.
Click Origins View to open the Origins panel. To search and add an origin, right-click the header or on a manufactured item, and click Add Origins.


Capable Resources View
Manages capable resources related to a manufactured item.
Click Capable Resources View to open the Capable Resources panel. To search and add a resource, right-click on the header or on a resource, and click Add Capable Resources.


Toggle Graph And Table View
Displays the structure through a tree or a graph.
Click the Products and Parts view or the Manufactured Items view, and click Toggle Graph and Table View to toggle the view to a graph.

Reframe
Fits the entire structure into the view.
In the graph view, click Reframe to fit the structure into the view.

Reframe On
Centers the view on the selected object.
In the graph view, select an object and click Reframe On to center the view on this object.

Toggle Graph Orientation
Changes the position and order of objects in a structure.
In the graph view, click Toggle Graph Orientation to change the order of objects.

Toggle Graph Overview
Opens a panel to manage the view of the structure.
In the graph view, click Toggle Graph Overview to manually adjust the size of a structure.

Show Log Panel
Opens a panel listing previous actions.
Click Log Panel to display the Log panel.

Tools



B.I. Essentials - Assignment Status
Reveals attributes of the objects in your session.
Color codes corresponding to the different values of an attribute are applied to the objects.

Show Column(s) View Preferences Panel
Lets you define which columns are displayed in the widget.
In the Is Visible column, select the check box of the columns you want to display on the interface, and clear the check box of the columns you want to hide. You can manually adjust the width of the columns.

Show View Layout Preferences Panel
Lets you manage widget layout preferences.

Export Table as CSV File
Exports management data to a CSV file.
Select one or more objects and click Export CSV.
Load Relation(s) for selected object(s)
Load in the session the relations for the selected object.


Relations
Reveals the ecosystem of related objects.


Filter
Filters objects based on attributes or configurations.
Filter command is not available if Authoring is enabled or Filter command is not available in Database mode

Configuration



Edit Configuration Context
Adds or removes a model as a configuration context.
Opens the Edit Configuration Context dialog box for the object so that you can add or remove a model as its configuration context.

Edit Variants and Options Effectivity
Adds or edits the variants and options effectivity for an object in the structure.
Opens the Define Variant/Option dialog box for the object so that you can add or edit variants and options to define the variants and options effectivity expression.

Edit Evolution Effectivity
Adds or edits the model version revisions that define evolution effectivity for an object in the structure.
Opens the Edit Evolution dialog box for the object so that you can select which model version revisions define the object's evolution effectivity.
