Setup Section

The primary area of the Setup section of the action bar provides commands for setting up your machining app.

	Manufacturing Product See Flyout for Inserting Resources.
	Mount and Import Resources Mounts and imports resources such as manufacturing products, accessories, adaptors and tools. See Importing Machines and Tool Assemblies.
	Generic Machine Creates a virtual NC machine and lets you define its parameters. See Creating a Generic Machine and Managing Its Parameters.

Flyout for Inserting Resources


	Manufacturing Product Inserts a manufacturing product resource, which is a non-working resource. See Creating a Manufacturing Product.
	Control Equipment Inserts a control equipment resource, which is a working resource. See Create a Control Equipment.
	Existing Product or Resource Inserts exiting products or resources in the manufacturing cell. See Inserting an Existing Product or Resource.
	Insert Capable Resources Inserts resources such as machines and accessories, defined in the planning. See Insert Capable Resources

Flyout for Managing Robots


	Motion Controller Creates a resource motion controller and default motion groups (which may include additional tool device such as a rail or track). To perform this procedure, you must have a Control Device resource under a Station (organizational resource) then you can add a resource motion controller to a resource. See Create a Motion Controller.
	Manage Motion Groups Create, read, update, and delete the motion groups of a control device. A motion group represents the subset of devices that are controlled by a control device, whose combined motion is involved in a motion task. See Virtual Factory: Equipment Design User's Guide: Motion Controller: Managing Motion Groups.
	Jog Mechanism Jog a mechanical resource that is managed by a resource motion controller. See Jogging a Device.
	Workspace Envelope Creates the reachable volume for a given industrial robot's workspace envelope around the robot. See Virtual Factory: Equipment Design User's Guide: Motion Controller: Creating a Workspace Envelope.
	Snap Juxtaposes two products or resources. See Snapping Products or Resources.
	Create Attachment Creates a link between two objects so that one object moves when the other moves. See Creating an Attachment.
	Manage Attachments Manages attachments. Removes the attachment between objects and edits the attachment offset. See Managing Attachments.

Flyout for Managing Data


	Synchronize Data with Planning Synchronizes data with planning to generate or update a manufacturing product. See Synchronizing with Planning Data.
	Show Linked Manufacturing Product Show linked manufacturing products of selected manufacturing cells, working resources or manufacturing products. See Show Linked Manufactured Product.

Flyout for Managing Resource States


	New Simulation State Creates a simulation state. A state is a snapshot of the positions of the contents. See Creating a Simulation State. See Active Simulation Objects, Contexts, and Simulation States.
	Import Reference Status Imports existing simulation states into the current context. From the tree, select the objects whose states you want to import. The imported states are then available in the correct context.
