List of Issues

Issue Management lists issues you have access to, and lets you create new issues.

Whenever an action occurs on an issue that involves you, such as being assigned to the issue or mentioned in a comment, you receive a notification in 3DNotification. When you click the link in the notification, Issue Management opens the information tabs for the issues showing the identity card and properties.

For information about the columns that display in the list, see Issue Properties.

Issue Columns

When viewing the datagrid, you can use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform data display tools. For more information, see Data Display. These tools let you perform these actions:

  • Drag columns to different locations
  • Pin columns (right-click the column name)
  • Size this or all columns

You can drag an issue from the list and drop it in another widget to view the issue using that widget's tools.

You can drop an object from another widget or search results on an issue. Issue Management prompts you to choose how that object is connected to the issue. You can select one of these options, then click Attach:

  • Contexts
  • Affected Items
  • Resolved By
  • Attachments

You can hide or show the list of related objects and attachments for an issue:

  • To expand the issue to show the related objects, right-click an issue and select Expand content. This option only shows if the issue is collapsed.
  • To collapse the list to hide related objects, right-click an issue and select Collapse Content. This option only shows if the issue is expanded.

You can use the Select object(s) menu to select one or more issues and their content. This menu contains these options:

Option Description
Select all issues Selects all issues in the list but not any related objects.
Select all visible issue content Selects all related objects but not any issues. Only selects content for issues that are expanded in the list. Content of collapsed issues is not selected.
Unselect all Clear all check boxes.

You can customize the list by:

  • Dragging columns to rearrange the order.
  • Right-clicking a column heading to pin that column or size that column or all columns to fit the display width.
  • Using Customize view to hide or show columns, and change their appearance. For more information, see Customize the List View.

At the end of each issue row you can click the Actions chevron to select available actions for that issue.

Kanban View

This view shows a column for each maturity status. Each column lists the issues in that status. You can change the Kanban view to display the issues in columns of priority, due date, or all (single column with all issues). For more information, see Customize the Kanban View.

You can drag an issue from one column to another to change it from its current state, priority, or due date to that of the column where you drop it. For example, you can drag an issue from a Low priority to a High priority.

You can click a column in this chart at the lower right of the view to show or hide the respective columns. You might need to scroll to see this chart. You can hover over a column to see the number of issues in that state, priority, or due date.

Each issue shown in this view includes these details. You can hover over an item to view more information:

  • Selected image (from the Attachments tab)
  • Issue title
  • Issue name (auto-generated name)
  • Owner picture or initials
  • Attachments; click to open the image manager for the issue. For more information, see Managing Attachments.

Search in Current Tab

If you use the Search in Current Tab option of 3DSearch, the app only searches for the entered text in the Title field of the issue.

Listing Issues in Other Apps

You can list issues in other apps such as Collaborative Lifecycle or Bookmark Editor. However, you cannot Share an issue from those apps. Only members have access to. For more information, see Managing Members.
