Volume Section

The Volume section of the action bar provides commands for creating volumes.

These commands belong primarily to 3D Modeling Core: Generative Shape Design and Part Design apps and are described in the Generative Shape Design User's Guide and to which you have access below. In the Mine 3D Design app, they are available from the Wireframe and Surface section of the action bar.

This page discusses:

Volume Extrude
See Flyout for Volume Extrude.
Multi-sections Volume
Creates a multisections volume by sweeping one or more closed section curves along a spine.
See Creating Multi-Sections Volumes.
Volume Sweep
Creates a swept volume by sweeping out a closed profile in planes normal to a spine curve.
See Creating Swept Volumes.
Thick Surface
Adds material to a surface in two opposite directions.
See Creating a Thick Surface.
Close Surface
Closes surfaces.
See Creating a Close Surface.
Draft
Creates a draft by selecting a neutral element on molded 3D shapes to make them easier to remove from molds.
See Creating a Draft.
Shell
Creates a cavity.
See Creating a Shell.
Thickness
Adds thickness to a 3D shape.
See Creating Thicknesses.
Add
