Material Declaration Properties

The Properties page for a material declaration lists its details.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Author, Leader, Reader
  • App-specific: Compliance Reviewer, Compliance Engineer, Senior Compliance Engineer

To access this page:

  1. Open the required Material Declaration. For more information, see Opening a Material Declaration.
  2. In the navigation pane, click the name of the Material Declaration.

Fields

Field Name Description
Type The type or subtype of the material declaration.
Name The auto-generated name of the material declaration.
Reported Part The name of the part (a reported part created as a Manufacturer Equivalent) specified for the material declaration. Only shows if a part has been created for the material declaration.
State The state of the material declaration.
Due Date The due date of the material declaration.
Owner The owner of the material declaration.
Requester Comments The comments/instructions entered by the requester of the material declaration.
Originator The originator of the part.
Originated Date The date the part was created.
Modified Date The last modified date of the part.
Submission Format The format of the file used to import this material declaration.
Import File Name The name of the file used to import this material declaration.
Policy The policy of the part.
State Changes:
Requested Date The date the material declaration was promoted to Requested.
Requested Comments Any comments provided when the date the material declaration was promoted to Requested.
Submitted Date The submitted date for the material declaration.
Submitted Comments The signature comments entered when the material declaration was submitted.
Received Date The received date for the material declaration.
Received Comments The signature comments entered when the material declaration was received.
Accepted Date The accepted date for the material declaration
IMDS Direct Upload Status The direct upload status of the IMDS request associated with this material declaration.
Accepted Comments The signature comments entered when the material declaration was accepted.
Rejected Date The rejected date for the material declaration.
Rejected Comments The signature comments entered when the material declaration was rejected.
Supplier Contact A row is displayed for each contact that will be notified at the supplier when changes to the material declaration occur.

Materials Compliance Management can be configured to hide private data. If so, a message displays here instead of the table.

Equivalent Part A row is displayed for equivalent part information. Attributes are name, description, equivalent reference weight, enterprise part name, and enterprise part revision.
IMDS: Only shows when the ELV data management option is used.
IMDS Request ID The ID of the IMDS request associated with this material declaration.
IMDS Request Type The type of IMDS request (Component or SemiComponent) for the IMDS Request associated with this material declaration.

The corresponding IMDS Request associated with this material declaration is updated when this property is changed.

IMDS Project The IMDS project specified for the IMDS request associated with this material declaration.

The corresponding IMDS Request associated with this material declaration is updated when the project is changed.

IMDS Request Pending Whether or not an IMDS request is pending for this material declaration.

Composition Finalization Date The date the composition for the part was finalized.
Compliance Finalization Date The date the compliance information for the part was finalized
Requester Reference Number A reference number defined by the host company.
Requester Area The area defined by the requester. This value is automatically entered by the app and not by the requester.
Request Date The date the request was submitted to the supplier
Requester Comment Comments entered when the request was made
Responder Reference Number A reference number defined by the supplier
Responder Area The area defined by the responder. This value is automatically entered by the app and not by the responder.
Responder Preparation Date The date the supplier prepared the compliance declaration.
Responder Authorization Date The date the supplier authorized the compliance declaration.
Responder Contact Comment Comments entered by the supplier contact.
Product Comment Additional comments entered in the chemSHERPA tool.

Edit Details Edits the details of a material declaration.

You must have the Author or Compliance Engineer access role.

Create New Reported Part Manually creates a reported part for a material declaration. This action is only available for material declarations in the Created, Requested, Submitted, or Received states.

If the material declaration is in the received state, this action replaces the existing reported part associated with the received material declaration.

You must have the Author or Compliance Engineer access role.

Your business administrator can remove this command from the menu to make this capability unavailable.

The menu only shows if the Material Declaration shows a Reported Part.
