Assigning Manufacturing Responsibility

A Manufacturing Engineer or Senior Manufacturing Engineer can assign the manufacturing responsibility for a part to one or more plants.

The plant must:

  • be in the Active state (a plant is Inactive by default when it is created and must be promoted to Active from its Lifecycle page)
  • have a user assigned as the MCO Coordinator. See Person Properties.
  • have the MCO Coordinator defined as a lead role for that plant. See People Page.

Note: For users with CBP roles (such as MCO Coordinator), assigning a lead role is required as noted above. For users with VPLM roles, such as VPLMLeader, a lead role is not required.

Before you begin: Access the Properties page of a part. See Part Properties.
