Workflows

You can create an experience that presents different variants of a product, and showcase these variants by playing the experience.

Important: Every single real-life part must have been defined as a single physical part in the inserted physical product in order to apply product, material or position variants to it.

This task shows you how to:

Get Started with Variants

To get started, you can create product and viewpoint variants. You can then showcase the variations using stage variants. Finally, you can configure and play the experience.

  1. Insert a physical product in the experience to create its associated product actor. For more information, see Inserting a Product in the Experience.
  2. Create product variants to show different variations of the same product. For more information, see Creating a Product Variant.
  3. Create viewpoint variants to show what the product looks like under different angles. For more information, see Creating a Viewpoint Variant.
  4. Create stage variants to showcase the different variations of the product. For more information, see Creating a Stage.
  5. Configure the presentation mode. For more information, see Configuring the Presentation Mode.
  6. Play the experience. For more information, see Using the Presentation Mode.

Go Further

To go further, you can create position and material variants. You can then showcase the variations using stage variants. Finally, you can configure and play the experience.

  1. Create position variants to show the product in different states like open doors, or deployed bike stands. For more information, see Creating a Position Variant.
  2. Create material variants to review the product with different colors or materials. For more information, see Creating a Material Variant.
  3. Create stage variants to showcase the different variations of the product. For more information, see Creating a Stage.
  4. Configure the presentation mode. For more information, see Configuring the Presentation Mode.
