3DSpace User Interface

3DSpace lets you create and manage collaborative spaces in 3DDashboard. You can open it from the 3DCompass and access your collaborative spaces in that window, and you can pin it or drag it to a dashboard tab.

You can use 6WTags to filter the content of the collaborative spaces. The selected tags apply only to the current collaborative space. If you select a different collaborative space, the tag filters are removed and all content for that collaborative space is listed. For more information, see Filtering with 6WTags.

You can also use the Search In Current Dashboard filter for 3DSearch. For more information, see About 3DSearch Queries.

The left pane of 3DSpace lists the collaborative spaces that you are a member of. If no collaborative space is selected, the right pane lists your collaborative spaces in thumbnail or tile view.

When you select a collaborative space, the right pane lists its content. Content includes any objects owned by the collaborative space that you have access to based on your organization and access role. If you own the collaborative space, you have access to all its content. You can hover over any collaborative space or content to view details about that item.

You can access the 3DSpace menu when the toolbar does not show a collaborative space in the breadcrumb trail. You can click My Collaborative Spaces in the left pane to clear the breadcrumb trail. The menu includes these actions:

The actions at the right end of the toolbar are available when the work area lists collaborative spaces or content:

 Switches between the list (default), thumbnail, and tile views. -
Sort Defines the method used to sort the content, and whether to sort in ascending or descending order. You can sort by any of these attributes:
  • Title or
  • Modification Date or
  • Creation Date or

When viewing the content of a collaborative space, the menu in the toolbar includes these additional actions:

Delete Lets you delete the collaborative space. You can only delete collaborative spaces that you own, and that contain no content. Deleting a Collaborative Space

When you select content in the right pane, the toolbar adds actions for that content. The type of content determines which actions are available. Most of the actions are only available when the selected content is a document. You can also use the tile menu for the content to access these actions.

Lists the apps available to you that can open and work with the selected content type. Select the app you want to use.
