Where Used Tab

Any CAD object and the components within that CAD object can be used to build another CAD object. If you plan to make modifications to a component or a part, you need to know if that object is used in another CAD object to assess the effects of your changes. The Where Used tab lists other objects associated with the selected CAD object.

To access this tab:

  1. Access the objects Portal View page. See CAD Portal View
  2. Click the Where Used tab.

To customize the table display and view the page using your personal designs:

  • To choose a custom Workspace table for this page, select a table from the drop-down list.

Filters

Filter Description
Show Levels To define how many levels will be displayed when you expand a node, select an option from the list.
  • All - All levels
  • Upto - Use the text box to specify the level of expansion (for example, 2)
  • Highest - Show only the highest revision/iteration of CAD objects that use this CAD object
Design Iteration

To display specific iterations of documents, select one of these options from the drop-down list:

  • As Built - This view shows the physically connected structure. It is used to display all the objects that are connected at the time of check in. This view works within the same revision of all items in the given structure. Thus, it displays the latest iteration within the selected revision. Check in and modification by all users results in As-Built view.
  • Latest Iteration - Latest Iteration finds the latest iteration of all the nodes of a selected node and its underlying structure
  • Latest Revision - This view displays the latest revision for all the items in the given structure irrespective of the maturity state. This will work across revisions only.
  • Connected to latest Revision - This view displays the latest connected revision for all the items in the given structure irrespective of the maturity state. This will work across revisions only.
Revisions To filter the list based on revisions.
