This section describes recent changes in Process Management.

R2022x FD01 (FP.2205)

Capable Resources Enhancements

The following changes are made relative to capable resources:

  • A new Create Capable Resources Structure command is available in the Authoring section of the action bar.
  • In the Create Link panel:
    • Capable Resource Reference is renamed to Capable Resource - Primary .
    • A new Capable Resource - Secondary command is added. It creates a secondary capable resource link for the operation, if the operation has a primary resource.
  • In the Relations panel:
    • On selecting a workplan system or an area resource, the capable resources structure link displays.
    • On selecting an operation, the primary capable resources and their linked secondary capable resources display.
    • On selecting a primary resource, the linked operation and secondary resources display.
    • On selecting a secondary resource, the linked primary resource and operation display.

Benefits: This lets you visualize the differences between primary and secondary capable resources.

Upper Views Enhancements

The following changes enhance the Manufacturing Items and the Capable Resources views:

  • A new Collapse All command is available in the View section of the action bar.
  • New contextual commands are available in the Relations panel:
    • In the contextual menu of manufacturing items: Add object to Manufacturing Items View
    • In the contextual menu of resources: Add object to Resources View.

Benefits: This lets you drag objects into the views.

Note: If the objects are not dragged to their respective views (Manufactured Items or Capable Resources), they are added to the Auxiliary view.

New Replace By Commands

Three new commands are available in the Authoring section of the action bar:

  • Replace By Latest Revision
  • Replace By Existing
  • Replace By New Revision .

Benefits: This lets you replace objects in the MBOM.
