Procedure for Interference Check

This topic describes the overall procedure for creating, editing, and analyzing an interference simulation.

This task shows you how to:

Create and Analyze an Interference Simulation

  1. Create an interference simulation on an opened product. See Create an Interference Simulation.

    You can create an interference simulation on an explored product. See Create an Interference Simulation through Top Bar.

    Note: You can specify the engineering connection specifications, knowledge rules, quantifier choices while computing an interference simulation. See Defining Interference Simulation Specifications.

  2. Analyze the interference simulation to identify the clashes, contacts, or clearances. See Analyzing and Verifying Interference Simulation Results.

    When you analyze the interference simulation, you can do the following:

    • Create sections
    • Measure 3D geometries and the distance between them
    • Apply colors to the instances
    • Re-frame on the clashing parts or on the interference area

  3. Publish the interference simulation report. See Publishing an Interference Report.
  4. Validate the interference simulation results in a collaborative environment. See Validating the Interference Simulation Results in a Collaborative Environment.
  5. View the interferences in a presentation mode. See Viewing Interferences in a Presentation Mode.
